This season Keen will present two uplifting stories about the big impact of small actions.
This fall we will produce our next revival of an intimate musical: Adam Gwon’s ORDINARY DAYS beautifully depicts how one person can influence complete strangers. I’ve been a fan of Adam’s work for years and am so excited to work with him on bringing this beloved musical to life in a brand new production with new orchestrations.
In the spring we will present the New York premiere of a truly Keen story about an exceptional boy living a troubled life in Newark, NJ who does a good deed for an often unnoticed person. Chisa is a rare writer whose speaks to our complicated times today with a full heart and a singular voice. I am thrilled to welcome her into the Keen family.
In addition to these two beautiful stories, we’ll present our 13th Annual Keen Teens Festival of New Work and readings as part of our Keen Playwrights Lab.
I hope you’ll join us for a season of stories about the decisive moments that change us!
