Her professional career kicked off with a guest star on CBS’ MacGyver, and she went on to appear in films such as Justin Simien’s “Bad Hair”, Cooper Raiff’s “Sh*thouse”, and Jim Cummings and PJ McCabe’s “The Beta Test”. Joy gained international recognition for her role as Bianca Barclay in Tim Burton’s hit Netflix series “Wednesday,” starring opposite Jenna Ortega. The show became a global phenomenon, ranking as the most-watched English-language series in Netflix history and amassing over 1.7 billion hours viewed. Joy can currently be seen in her Emmy-nominated performance as Jodie Plumb in HBO’s acclaimed miniseries DTF St. Louis, opposite Richard Jenkins, Jason Bateman, Linda Cardellini, and David Harbour. She recently wrapped a starring role in Shirin Neshat and Shoja Azari’s Paradise Lost, alongside Isabella Rossellini and Jaeden Martell.
